Skip to main contentThe Personal Dictionary automatically corrects words that are frequently misheard during transcription. When the system hears the “misspelled” version, it automatically substitutes your preferred spelling.
Adding a Dictionary Entry
- Navigate to Settings > Personal Dictionary.
- In the Misspelled/Heard As field, enter the word as it’s typically transcribed (e.g., “doctor smith”).
- In the Correct Text field, enter your preferred version (e.g., “Dr. Smith”).
- Click Add.
Common Use Cases
- Provider names: “doctor johnson” → “Dr. Johnson, MD”
- Facility names: “memorial hospital” → “Memorial Regional Hospital”
- Medical terms: “metformin” → “Metformin 500mg”
- Abbreviations: “bid” → “BID”
Sync with Commure Ambient
Your Personal Dictionary syncs with Commure Ambient. Entries added in either application are available in both.
